I wrote about this article last Monday when we discussed the Pew site. Just to pose a question from a comment Mike made about my post, will these online statistics really affect the outcome of the election? After all, as Mike suggested, the Internet generation is largely young voters who, in the past, have proven to not be voters at all. I personally like to think that this election is different, that the issues presented this year reach out to young voters more than they ever have, but again, we thought the same in 2004. Everyone knows that Obama is far more popular with the younger crowds than McCain, but we won't know what that really means until November 4th.
