So true. Mr. Frieman's observation is frightening when put into a nutshell like this. For some time our nation has fallen into a pattern of criticism for the sake of itself rather than for constructive resolution of issues. At the risk of sounding more like a Facebook-hater, I have to say that any media that allows mass perpetuation "idiotic" ideals is worthy of concern. And, of course, this is an example of a minority of people abusing something and ruining it for everyone.
