I was over visiting Joe Squarepants and he got me thinking: Maybe one of the questions for us to ponder is the actual
fit between Lamont in the flesh and the cyber-insurgency backing him. I mean, those of you who've seen him -- if only on TV but maybe even at appearances -- may find him to be a strange choice for some of the funky, transgressive people backing him. And does that matter?

I think Ned is downright sexy when compared to knobby-kneed Joe...
The nice thing about being unknown is that your supporters can make you into whatever they want.
If his appearance has any weight with whether people support him online, then he wouldn't have the kind of following he does. It would suggest that the Lieberman tactic of distorting his country club membership had any real validity. As jk said, a good deal of the glory of blogging is that its style that matters - not physical attributes. Bloggers who support him are attracted to his politics and values, (or if not, applaud his opposition to Lieberman), but certainly not how he dresses.
