The Times has an article about the degree to which The View seeks to play a significant role in the election. Why?

And there is, emerging, a sense that The View and Chris Rock and the Comedy Central shows are actually doing a BETTER job of getting to the meat of things. What do you think about that?

Dan Rather commented on Real Time with Bill Maher (March 2007) “comedians, such as yourself, Jon Stewart and others, are a valuable supplement...good journalism...speaks truth to power...What's happened is comedians, in their own way, speak truth to power and fill that vacuum that we in journalism have too often left, particularly post 9/11.”

Chris Rock does leave you scratching your head wondering why things are the way they are.

This is trivial, but I find it odd the article continually uses, Mr., Mrs., and Ms. It doesn't seem to fit.
